德国明斯特大学招聘计算生物物理学博士后
The Institute of Physical Chemistry at the University of Muenster (Germany) offers a postdoctoral position to work on atomistic computer simulations of DNA and polymeric systems. This project is part of the international Research Centre TRR 61 “Multilevel Molecular Assemblies: Structure, Dynamics and Function”. It brings together a multidisciplinary team of experts on self-assembly processes from Muenster and Beijing. Our own group is specialized in studying the microscopic properties of complex systems via computer simulations.
In this specific project the unfolding/folding dynamics and the thermodynamic properties of tetrameric DNA as well as the self-assembly of DNA/polymer systems are studied for different external conditions. For this purpose advanced numerical methods are employed on a microscopic level. Furthermore, based on free energy techniques pulling experiments will be studied. This project is part of an intensive collaboration with an experimental group.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person with a PhD in physics, chemistry, biophysics or a related subject. The candidates should have a strong background in the atomistic modeling of complex systems and statistical physics as well as good computational skills.
We offer excellent research conditions and a stimulating working atmosphere. The candidate will be employed at a DFG-Postdoctoral level. The contract may be extended up to 3 years. Please send complete applications to Prof. Dr. Andreas Heuer via andheuer@uni-muenster.de. Review of applicants will begin immediately and applications will be considered until the position is filled. While we appreciate all applications, only those candidates selected for further consideration will be contacted.
