2014-03-11 08:40 来源:未知 作者:liuxuehr

Grade 7 (£29,837 – £36,661)

Applications are invited for a post-doctoral research assistant to join the laboratory of Professor Kate Storey in the Division of Cell & Developmental Biology (College of Life Sciences, University of Dundee UK) working on cell biological mechanisms that regulate vertebrate neurogenesis.

This project builds on our recent discovery of a new form cell sub-division, apical abscission, which regulates the detachment of new-born neurons from the ventricle of the neural tube.

Das, R.M. & Storey, K.G. (2014) Apical Abscission Alters Cell Polarity and Dismantles the Primary Cilium During Neurogenesis. Science 343, 200-204.

For details of on-going work in the lab and recent publications, please visit: www.lifesci.dundee.ac.uk/people/kate-storey

This Wellcome Trust funded position is available for 3 years. Experience with real-time imaging, cell biological approaches and in vivo transfection would be an advantage, as would a fascination for the mechanisms underlying neurogenesis. Informal enquiries are welcome and should be directed to Professor Kate Storey k.g.storey@dundee.ac.uk.
