 1. Purpose

The Postdoctoral Fellowship in Gyongsang National University, Department of Horticulture, Lab. of Protected Horticulture & Greenhouse Management has been designed to national research and development projects carried outand provide promising young researchers with opportunities to improve their knowledge and experience in their field of protected horticulture.

Ⅱ. Conditions of Award

 1. Qualifications of Applicants

Applicants should:

∙ write manuscript more than 2 papers/year as a SCI grade after employment.

∙ have a Ph.D. degree with research experience in his/her field of specialization.

∙ be recommended by the head of organization or supervisor of Ph.D. course.

∙ have a good command of spoken and written English (or Korean language).

∙ be in good health, both physically and mentally, so as not to interfere in carrying out the research projects.

∙Gyeongsang National University Department of Horticulture Lab. will inform the applicants by March 03, 2014 or until be filled . whether or not the applicants have been accepted.

Ⅲ. Living Allowance & Expenses

Gyeongsang National University Department of Horticulture Lab. provides a living allowance of 1,600,000 to 2,000,000 Won (Korean currency unit, contained insurance fee) per month.

= ( about US $ 24,000 + benefits provided.)

 

 Ⅵ. Working hours:  8:30-18:00 Monday to Sat.

Ⅶ. Pre-departure Instruction

 ∙ Selected candidates should contact the program leader, and submit the necessary documents for applying for long-term visa to the Korean Embassy in the candidate’s’ country.

∙ Selected candidate should confer with their program leaders about travel details at least three weeks before coming to Korea
