英国医学研究委员会分子生物学实验室招聘博士后
Postdoctoral Scientist, Cambridge UK
Fixed term 3 years
Salary range: £27,454 – £30,184
The MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) is one of the birthplaces of modern molecular biology and has played an important role in the development of many new techniques, most notably X-ray crystallography of proteins, DNA sequencing and monoclonal antibodies.
With the opening of our new laboratory the LMB provides an unsurpassed environment for both young and established researchers. Scientists are drawn to the LMB from all over the world, thus creating a lively and international community for the exchange of ideas and technical innovation.
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral scientist position in the research group of Dr Mariann Bienz. The purpose of this role will be to work within a programme aimed at understanding the molecular mechanisms that regulate signalling through the Wnt/beta-catenin cancer pathway and its modulation by non-canonical ubiquitin. In focus is the Trabid de-ubiquitylase and its interaction with a set of ancient HECT E3 ubiquitin ligases.
Candidates should have a PhD in a biological or biochemical subject, competence in standard molecular biology techniques and experience in biochemistry (e.g. Immunoprecipitation, protein binding assays) and cell biology (e.g. cell-based functional assays, confocal microscopy). Expertise in recombinant protein purification, biophysical techniques or structural biology would be of advantage. A first author publication in a peer-reviewed journal is highly desirable. For more information please contact Dr. M. Bienz (mb2@mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk).
Applications are handled by the UK SBS; to apply please visit our job board at http://www.topcareer.jobs/Vacancy/irc124473_3985.aspx and submit your CV and Cover Letter quoting reference number IRC124473.
