The structure of interactions between the components of many complex systems is defined through networks. The PLEXMATH project is a collaborative effort [with A. Arenas, Y. Moreno, M. Barthelemy, and M. A. Porter] to formulate a new mathematical framework for the analysis of multi-level networks and their dynamics. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing analytical approximation techniques for dynamics on multiplex networks, implementing numerical simulations, and applying results to real-world data sets. The main focus will be on percolation, random-walk methods, and complex contagion dynamics.
