Postdoctoral positions are available immediately in a cancer research laboratory located within The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center to work in the areas of cancer genetics and cancer signaling. The lab currently studies metabolic signaling in cancer development, aging and stem cell maintenance (see our publications, Nature. 2010; 468(7324):701-4; Cancer Cell. 2010; 18(5):472-84; Cell Cycle. 2009; 8(7):1003-6; PNAS. 2008; 105(49):19384-9). One project focuses on the role of tumor suppressors in cancer metabolism, stress response and stem cell biology. In another project, the fellow will study the genetic and metabolic network in kidney cancer. We are seeking candidates who are highly motivated and career-oriented. Qualified candidates should have strong background in one or more of the following areas: molecular/cell biology, biochemistry, cancer genetics. Previous experience in generating and analyzing mouse models is desirable.
