We are advertising an upcoming theory position for a postdoctoral researcher in the field of quantum circuits for quantum computing and quantum simulation. Some of the topics of this research will involve the study of
- Propagating microwave photons in transmission lines.
- Scattering and interaction of photons with superconducting qubits.
- Ultrastrong qubit-light interaction and applications for quantum computing.
- Numerical and analytical tools for the study of these strongly correlated systems.
- Modelization of ongoing experiments.
The researcher will work in our group in Madrid, at Instituto de Física Fundamental, in strong collaboration with other theoretical and experimental partners in the consortium.
The position will be a 2.5 years contract with a yearly salary of about 39.000 euros before taxes. Ideally, the selected candidate is expected to incorporate between May and July 2012, depending on how bureaucracy develops.
