Job Description
The department of Chemical and Biochemical engineering at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey seeks applications for the position of Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the area of chemical/pharmaceutical engineering. The research focuses on the study and characterization of pharmaceutical unit operations such as granular mixing, feeding and processing. The responsibilities include but are not limited to performing discrete element modeling and simulation studies of powders and tablet coating, designing and carrying out experiments, and guiding graduate and undergraduate students.
The applicant must be highly motivated and independent, and must have a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or related field with experience in computational research. They should have demonstrated ability to perform independent research. The ability to set-up experiments including implementation of electromechanically control systems is crucial. In addition to a high degree of technical proficiency, this position also requires excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, planning skills, multi-tasking, proficiency in the use of computers and relevant software, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
