job description
The project is on the development of an immobilised fungal bioreactor to manufacture bioactive metabolites. A variety of immobilisation techniques will be assessed for suitability and the detection of metabolites will be primarily by GC-MS, and their purification will be achieved by preparative HPLC.
The project is funded under the Enterprise Ireland Commercialisation Fund Scheme and has very clear objectives and timelines. You will be expected to complete the work independently and supervise a research assistant.
Appointment will be made at either Post Doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 or Level 2 depending on experience of successful applicant.
