Salary: £29,972 to £35,788 Plus £2,798 London Allowance
This exciting new position offers a post-doctoral researcher experience to work on a project investigating disease mechanisms in osteoarthritis.
Recent work from our group and others has shown that chronic synovitis and bone marrow lesions correlate with increased pain in osteoarthritis. We are currently investigating the nature of the composition of the extracellular matrix and bone marrow lesions in the perception of pain in osteoarthritis.
This post will involve close communication with the clinical rheumatology, clinical radiology and orthopaedics service at St George's Hospital to obtain tissue from joint replacement surgery.
Participants enrolled in our current study will receive MRI scans of the knee before joint replacement surgery.
