Job Description
A postdoctoral fellow position is available to investigate how aberrations of pathways that normally control developmental patterning contribute to tumorigenesis. Our laboratory primarily investigates the functions of transcription factors encoded by homeobox genes in tumors. Projects are directed to identifying the mechanisms of homeobox genes in modulating tumor-host cell interactions and studying how homeobox genes cross-talk with other signaling pathways in tumors.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree and a research background in transcriptional regulation, chromatin modification, and developmental and/or cancer biology. Expertise in molecular biology, cell biology and mammalian tissue culture is essential. Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
