Responsibilities
Our research focuses on the development of protein capture agents using high throughput screening of combinatorial peptide libraries. The cheap and robust agents should exhibit great affinity in binding selectively to disease/cancer biomarkers.
These works involve various biological validations of peptide ligands using ELISA, Western blot, immunoprecipitation, surface plasmon resonance (SPR), etc.
A postdoctoral fellow is expected to establish efficient and reliable validation platform tools for peptide ligands during the course of running a screening campaign against clinically significant biomarkers.
Requirements
A highly motivated candidate with PhD, MD or an equivalent degree in biology or a related field, and a strong publication record is required.
The candidate should be able to carry out independent research based on a strong background in biology or a related field so that he/she may establish reliable validation platform tools for peptide ligands that capture target biomarkers.
Experiences in handling peptides, proteins, antibodies, and related scaffolds will be a plus.
