Postdoctoral Research Assistant
Salary £29,099 – £35,788 p.a.
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research assistant for up to 18 months to work under the supervision of Professor Mark Brouard on imaging mass spectrometry, as part of the EPSRC Funded Programme Grant on ‘New Horizons in Chemical and Photochemical Dynamics’. The EPSRC Programme Grant comprises a consortium of ten research groups at the Universities of Oxford and Bristol to undertake research at the cutting edge of chemical and photochemical dynamics. The applicant should have experience in some of the following areas: laser spectroscopy, molecular reaction and photodissociation dynamics, ion imaging, and mass spectrometry, and should be willing to learn new techniques in the general are of mass spectrometry and reaction dynamics.
Applicants should either already have a PhD in Physical Chemistry, Physics, or a related field of study, or have submitted their thesis prior to taking up the post. The post will be held in Professor Brouard’s group, which is based in the Chemical Research Laboratory, Department of Chemistry, University of Oxford.
