Salary: £27,428 - £35,788 pa
Limit of tenure: Funding is available until 30 April 2013, subject to successful completion of project milestones.
Applications are invited for two postdoctoral positions to work on a fragment-based drug discovery project, one in X-ray crystallography and the other in biophysics:
The crystallographic post-holder must have experience from all stages of structure determination from construct design to structure refinement, and is expected to have experience from industrial structure-based drug discovery work and automation of crystal structure solution and refinement.
The Biophysics oriented post-holder should have strong background in protein expression and purification, and in various biophysical assays, especially fluorescent spectroscopy and fluorescent polarisation anisotropy. Experience in protein crystallography is desirable.
Both candidates need to be able to work to set deadlines in a multidisciplinary environment, to have good presentational and interpersonal skills.
