A paid postdoctoral position for one year with possibility of prolongation is available in the Haemostasis Group at Linkoping University Hospital, Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine. Linköping University has 27,600 students and 3,800 employees, for more information see http://www.liu.se/om-liu?l=en . Linköping has 135,000 inhabitants and is situated on the main railway and road between Stockholm and Copenhagen, 200 km south-west of Stockholm, 100 km from Stockholm-Skavsta Airport. Linköping airport have direct flights to Copenhagen and Amsterdam. Housing is comparably cheap.

Our research group is involved in translational research focused on platelet physiology, especially platelet thrombin receptors and platelet interactions with the coagulation system. The haemostasis research group provides an excellent research environment in an international and interactive atmosphere. The group is headed by Professor Tomas L. Lindahl and has one Assistant Professor, one post-doc and five Ph.D. students (four of them hold M.D.) and is in close collaboration with Dept. of Cardiology, Dept. of Clinical Genetics and the technical faculty in Linköping. We are looking for a highly motivated and committed individual with clear goals and the will to learn new concepts and technologies to join our team. Candidates must have a strong background in molecular biology, experience in one or more of the following areas; recombinant protein production, screening and production of DNA-aptamers, or thrombosis models, is meriting.
