Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the laboratory of Dr Philip Wigge in the Sainsbury Laboratory at the University of Cambridge (UK). The research will focus on the identification of novel genes involved in temperature perception in the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana. Experimental approaches will rely on harnessing the power of natural variation in Arabidopsis to isolate naturally occurring alleles that contribute to temperature perception..

Applicants must have prior graduate and post-doctoral experience in high-throughput screening of natural accessions, particularly at the level of gene expression. Skills required are advanced knowledge of, and experience in, Arabidopsis phenotyping and analysis, QTL analysis, and a thorough experimental grounding in plant molecular cell biology.
