The First Indo-German International Graduate School in Molecular and Cellular Glyco-Sciences at the University of Münster, Germany and the University of Hyderabad, India, is offering a fulltime post-doctoral researcher for a period of one year, presumably starting on December 2011. Place of work will be the University of Münster, Germany.
The successful applicant should hold a PhD in Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related field of natural and life sciences. Please visit the MCGS website for information on the MCGS partners, their expertise and research interests. In your application, please indicate in which MCGS group you would like to work. You may include a brief sketch of your own research interest in the area of structure/function relationships of glyco-containing or glyco-interacting biomolecules. The details of your research project will have to be worked out later together with your chosen supervisor.
We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with international experience, ideally with an Indo-German background which will allow you to become a key person in the MCGS graduate school. Besides pursuing your own research project, you will also support the intercultural development of MCGS doctoral fellows from around the world, including the Indian PhD students during their mandatory exchange visits to Germany.
