Post-Doctoral Research Associate: Synthetic Organic Chemistry

£27,428 – £35,788 pa
The funds for this post are available for two years in the first instance.
Applications are invited for a post-doctoral research associate to work with Dr David Spring in the Department of Chemistry in a collaborative project that will use diversity-oriented approaches to discover molecules that inhibit protein targets (see Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 2011, 108, 6793-6798 for an example of our work).
The project will involve the synthesis of small molecule protein binders using diversity-oriented synthesis approaches. Proven expertise in synthetic organic chemistry is essential; some knowledge of chemical biology would be advantageous.
