Postdoctoral Fellow position is open to study the mechanisms by which viruses evade the antiviral response. The current focus of the lab is the pathogenesis of the SARS-associated coronavirus. Work with this virus is carried out in a BSL3 laboratory.
A Ph.D. degree in biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, cell biology, pulmonary biology, virology or a related field is required. Experience with gene regulation, signal transduction, cytokines, primary cell culture, viruses and fluorescent microscopy is a plus.
The work will be carried out in the laboratory of Marc Wathelet at the Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Interested applicants should send a C.V., a description of research experience and the names, addresses, fax and phone numbers of three references.
