Postdoctoral Research Associate (2 Posts)
£30,870 – £35,789 pa
Applications are invited for two 3 year positions focussing initially on the synthesis and applications of porous organic cage molecules. Expertise in organic synthesis, a strong publication record, and a PhD in Chemistry are essential. Experience in any of the following is desirable: supramolecular chemistry; X-ray crystallography; porous materials; dynamic combinatorial chemistry; ‘cage-like’ or cyclic molecules. Candidates with specific proposals for applications of these materials in areas such as energy may also be considered. Candidates should combine specific high-level technical skills in organic synthesis and characterisation with an interest in the broader, cross-disciplinary aspects of supramolecular chemistry.
