Postdoctoral Position in Cancer Research in Boston

Postdoctoral positions are available to study mechanisms associated with brain cancer at the Molecular Oncology Research Institute at Tufts Medical Center, Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. The laboratory uses animal models combined with molecular, cell biology and genomic approaches to study the contribution of oncogenes and tumor suppressors to primary brain cancer tumorigenesis. A major focus of the lab is on EGFR signaling, one of the most frequently amplified oncogenes in human brain cancer. Ongoing efforts are directed toward understanding basic mechanisms of EGFR-induced gliomagenesis and the contribution of specific signaling pathways in the resistance to therapeutic interventions.

Applications are invited from qualified individuals with a Ph.D and/or M.D. interested in studying brain cancer. Candidates should have a strong background in cell and molecular biology. Prior experience with studies involving mice is preferred.
