job description

We are seeking an experienced molecular biologist for an funded research project on comparative transcriptomics in malaria parasites. The suitable candidate will be involved in generating a wide range of transcriptional datasets from clinical isolates typically using microarray analysis and is some circumstances RNAseq. The candidate will be expected to work closely with both the bioinformatic as well as the clinical support team located at different field sites. The candidate is expected to posses both good leadership characteristics but also must be a good team player and work along the other research scientist to drive forward the project.

The candidate should have a PhD in Molecular Biology or related topic and have a good understanding of transcriptional analysis using microarray or related techniques. A highly competitive salary will be considered for candidates with extensive experience and expertise.
