Postdoctoral Position in NMR Instrumentation at Ecole Normale Superieure, Paris
We are looking for post-doctoral candidates to join an exciting project on the development of a new approach to study protein dynamics with nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The role of the post-doc associate will be to participate in the development of new instrumentation for relaxometry (i.e. measurement of relaxation properties at low field) on high-field spectrometers. This project is pursued in close collaboration with Bruker Biospin and the group of Dimitris Sakellariou (CEA, Saclay and ENS).
Post-doctoral candidates should have experience in magnetic resonance hardware development (e.g. probe, spectrometer or magnet design) or connected areas of experimental physics and engineering.
The position is open from January 1st 2012. Long-term funding is available thanks to a Starting Grant of the European Research Council awarded to the PI. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
The team is part of the NMR group at the Department of Chemistry of the Ecole Normale Superieure, Paris. The group offers a unique environment where the research activity on magnetic resonance methodology encompasses pulse sequence development for liquid-state and solid-state NMR, MRI as well as the construction of new instrumentation. The Ecole normale superieure is ideally located at the scientific and historic heart of Paris.
