We are interested in:
• Regulation of telomere length at system level using integration of biochemistry, structural biology, and genetics approaches.
• Re-engineering/re-wiring telomere regulatory pathways using synthetic biology modules and concepts.
• Chemical biology approach to identify small molecules that can inhibit telomere elongation thereby inhibiting cancer cell progression.
Applicants with strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology, chemical biology, structural biology or genetics are strongly encouraged to apply. Prior experience with any model systems (human cell culture, yeast, plant, fly…) is desirable.
This will be an NIH funded position with salary dependent on the qualification of the candidates, primarily judged by publication record. Living cost around Texas A&M University is very low. Houston is nearby and provides a wonderful place for weekend activities.
