Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the group of Dr Henrik Jönsson in the Sainsbury Laboratory at the University of Cambridge. The project will focus on computational modelling of gene regulation, hormone signalling, mechanics, and morphodynamics at a cellular level for the plant shoot. Comparison with other plant tissues will also be part of the project. The project will be in close collaboration with experimental groups.
Successful applicants must hold a PhD in computational biology, physics, applied mathematics, computer science or engineering, and have prior graduate experience in computational modelling of biological molecular or mechanical systems. Skills required are advanced knowledge of computational methods, especially for modelling and analysis of dynamical systems. Candidates with proven ability to work in collaboration with experimental groups are encouraged to apply.
