A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the McCarty lab at Institute of Molecular Medicine (University of Texas-Health Science Center) to study the role of signaling pathways in stem cells of lymphoma. Experimental models focus on molecular interactions of genes in knock-out and transgenic mice in the context of stem cells and development of B cell lymphoma.
Requirements: Highly motivated PhD, MD/PhD or MD with a solid background in molecular and cell biology. Expertise in the analysis of mouse model systems, molecular biology and immunological techniques such as FACS, cloning, PCR immunohistochemistry etc. is a must. Experience in generation of knock out mice and Chip-chip assay is an advantage.
The McCarty lab is part of a vibrant stem cell community, the Centre for Stem Cell Research at the Institute of Molecular Medicine (IMM) at UT Medical Center in Houston.
