One postdoctoral position is available in the Section of Neurosurgery, Department of Surgery at the University of Chicago, open immediately. The position will involve studies in neuro-oncology and investigation into image-guided treatment of malignant brain tumors. Specifically, studies will involve examination of the molecular response to alkylating chemotherapeutic agents and examination of a nanoparticle vector distributed by convection enhanced delivery. The applicant will be required to have a doctoral degree in a field related to the research being conducted, be proficient with cell culture and molecular biological techniques and also have animal surgery proficiency. In addition, experience with animal imaging would be helpful.
The work will be sponsored by a new NIH/NCI grant.
