As a Postdoctoral Research Associate, you will perform experimental laboratory research on a project aiming to identify a receptor for C-peptide. The project will involve the use of Xenopus oocytes and a variety of molecular cloning techniques, including cell culture, cell biology, gene transfection, gene expression studies, protein purification together with voltage clamp studies and electrophysiology to identify the target receptor.
You will collaborate in the development of research projects, including the preparation of grant applications, and disseminate the findings of this work by contributing to the preparation of scientific papers, presentation of posters and giving of research seminars.
Further, you will contribute to the development of the research programmes in 3I by providing high level technical expertise and knowledge, supervising and training less experienced research staff, and providing advice on further development of the ongoing research work.
