Job Description
We are seeking postdoctoral researchers to create a clinically important, comprehensive cardiac imaging solution with a team of radiologists, cardiologists, and academic and industrial researchers. The project will advance CT imaging to include reliable perfusion measurements of myocardial tissue using the latest Philips Healthcare CT imaging technology with fast, wide field of view imaging. This advancement will allow CT to become the only imaging modality providing a “one stop shop” including vascular anatomy, vessel wall staging, and tissue perfusion. This will be exceedingly important for managing acute patients in a timely, cost effective, and reliable manner. The position is an academic appointment at Case Western Reserve University within the Philips Healthcare Global Advanced Imaging Innovation Center at Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals of Cleveland.

The successful candidate should have knowledge of medical imaging and image analysis. Specific knowledge of CT, perfusion, and/or cardiac imaging is a plus. A unique aspect of our work will be accurate validation using large animal models of coronary artery disease, providing ample opportunity for publications on all technical issues including beam hardening correction, image registration, perfusion model, low dose acquisitions, advanced reconstruction, etc. We want a candidate who will communicate well with our diverse, dynamic group; aggressively pursue research; and publish at a high rate.
