Grade 7: Salary £29,099 – £35,788 p.a.
An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Postdoctoral Scientist to join the new research group of Dr Tudor Fulga. The position will provide a unique opportunity to work in a fast developing field and is funded by the Medical Research Council for a period of 3 years.
The Fulga group is interested in understanding the role of microRNAs in complex developmental transitions and in the pathogenesis of human diseases. Reporting directly to Dr Fulga, you will advise and lead in the research on small non-coding RNA functions.
You will hold a PhD in a relevant area, have previous experience in advanced Drosophila genetics and tissue micro-dissection and have a good understanding of microRNA-mediated post-transcriptional regulation. An excellent publication record is essential as well as the ability to work independently and under your own initiative.
