A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available at the Department of Radiation Oncology, Stanford University. Research focus is on the integration of a minimally interfering robotic manipulator, optical tracking, and 4D imaging with matrix array transducer in a second generation system for intra-fractional soft tissue image guidance concurrent with radiation delivery. The successful applicant will work in close collaboration with researchers from Stanford Bio-Robotics and the ultrasound industry. The project is further supported by a software developer.

The postdoctoral position also offers additional opportunities for medical physics training through activities associated with a CAMPEP-accredited medical physics residency program and various continuing education courses.

Candidates with a doctoral degree in Medical Physics, Physics, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering are welcome to apply. Expertise in one of the following areas is a must: interventional image guidance, ultrasound imaging and guidance, image-guided application development. Expertise in computer programming (C/C++/C# and Matlab) is necessary and demonstrated aptitude in experimentation is essential.
