JOB DESCRIPTION
Well-established research groups in the Ovarian Cancer Research Center have Post-doctoral Research Fellow positions available focused on modeling the human ovarian tumor microenvironment using state-of-the-art mouse xenograft models. The overall goal of the project is to study the microenvironment editing by tumor cells and the mechanisms implicated in the induction of immune tolerance, tumor-promoting inflammation, and angiogenesis in human ovarian cancer.

QUALIFICATIONS
PhD or MD/PhD in the fields of immunology, tumor biology, molecular and cell biology, genetics, or biochemistry is required. Experience in the following areas is beneficial:

• Cellular immunology and functional assays
• Cloning and manipulation of cDNA, vector construction and modification
• Flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, confocal microscopy, image processing
• Xenografting in immune-deficient mice, in vivo imaging (fluorescence, bioluminescence)
• Mammalian cell culture, transient and stable transfection, cell separation, SDS-PAGE,
• Immunoprecipitation, ELISA and Western blotting

To be successful in this position, the Post-Doctoral Fellow must be able to organize work and think independently, able to develop creative approaches to experimental design, and able to work well collaboratively in an intense work environment.
