A postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Our laboratory is currently working on selecting RNA aptamers towards ligand gated ion channels (see Du et al. Neuropharmacology. 53:242-51 for details). We are looking for highly motivated individuals with demonstrated scientific productivity and excellent communication skills. The ideal applicant will have a strong background in molecular biology, and preferably having prior experience using SELEX methods for evolving RNA based ligands towards protein targets.
