Job Description
| A postdoctoral position reporting directly to Dr. Jung Choi is available in the Molecular and Functional Imaging Program directed by Robert Gillies, PhD. Projects involve characterizing putative prostate cancer biomarkers for both in vitro and in vivo animal imaging as well as investigation of molecular interactions between prostate epithelial tumor cells and surrounding stromal cells in the tumor microenvironment, using tissue culture models and/or tissue microarrays. The projects require application of basic molecular biology and cloning techniques, mammalian cell transfection and tissue culture assays, immunocytochemistry, and in vivo imaging of tumor mouse models (orthotopic and xenograft models), using various imaging instrumentation available within the program. The ideal postdoctoral fellow candidate should be highly motivated, have a PhD or MD degree, a strong background in molecular biology, cell biology, and publications in internationally recognized journals. Applicants should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be available for an interview. Moffitt Cancer Center is a modern facility on the University of South Florida Campus that conducts research on various aspects of Cancer Biology with emphasis on translational research.
