Job Description
The Laboratory of Systems Biology and Protein Post-translational Modifications at The University of Chicago is recruiting enthusiastic scientists to take key roles in using biochemistry, enzymology, and molecular biology approaches for discovery and characterization of novel protein post-translational modification pathways (e.g, lysine acetylation, lysine crotonylation, lysine butyrylation, and lysine succinylation (references: Cell, 2011, in press; Nature Chem Biol, 2010. 7:58–63; Cell, 2008. 133(4): p. 612-26; Mol Cell, 2006. 23(4): p. 607-18; Mol Cell Proteomics, 2007. 6(5): p. 812-9; PNAS, 2009. 106(3): p.761-766; Nature 2010, 463: p 958-962). Qualifications include a Ph.D. degree with strong background in biochemistry, or enzymology, or molecular biology, or cell biology.
