Job Description

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Yan Jessie Zhang of Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry of University of Texas, Austin. The research focus of the lab is the elucidation of the fundamental principles of transcriptional regulation and their impact on cancer and neurogenesis. In addition, the lab seeks to identify small molecule to intervene the process. The primary experimental approaches used in the laboratory are x-ray crystallography and allied biophysical techniques. The successful candidates should have a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in biochemistry, molecular biology or related field. Extensive experience in protein purification and cloning is required.
