阿联酋石油大学招聘化学工程博士后

The Department of Chemical Engineering of The Petroleum Institute (PI), Abu Dhabi has an immediate opening for a highly qualified post-doctoral fellow to work in a research project entitled “Study of Asphaltene Deposition Tendency Through Simultaneous Determination of Phase Behavior and Interfacial Properties”. The ideal candidate is expected to work on the development of molecular simulation methodologies for the calculation of microscopic structure and macroscopic physical properties including phase behavior of asphaltene mixtures. The project is funded by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and involves collaboration between the Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Departments of PI and ADNOC affiliated companies.
 
Qualifications:
 
•PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or Chemistry with emphasis to molecular simulation, molecular thermodynamics or similar,
 
•Excellent programming skills in Fortran or C / C++,
 
•Good knowledge of widely used molecular simulation packages (such as GROMACS, NAMD, Towhee, or similar) will be a plus.
 
In addition, candidates are expected to have:
 
•Good research publication track record,
 
•Excellent oral and written communication skills,
 
•Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively together with graduate students and industrial partners.
 
The Petroleum Institute (PI) was created in 2001 with the goal of establishing itself as a world-class institution in engineering education and research in areas of significance to the oil and gas and the broader energy industries. Salary/Benefits: Salary and benefits will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The total compensation package includes a tax-free 12-month base salary, and a benefits allowance that covers relocation, housing, initial furnishings, utilities, transportation (automobile purchase loan), health insurance, child(ren) education, end-of-service benefit and annual leave travel. Applicants must be in excellent health and will be required to pass a pre-employment physical examination.
