Job Description
We are looking for Research Engineers with a research interest in human interaction and social behavior. The candidate will join an interdisciplinary research team whose vision it is to develop social interaction technologies that enable people to use their natural communication capabilities to operate robots and other autonomous devices. A particular focus of this research is to identify how people construct meaning in the context of an interaction, develop cognitive models, and operationalise them for interface design. The candidate should also be able to work both independently and within a team and possess excellent analytical, technical and problem solving skills, good technical writing and presentation skills and be able to communicate effectively. Positions will be for an initial period of two years.

The candidate should have expertise in one or more of the following fields: Communication theory, attitudes, social cognition, attribution theory, or theory of mind.

Requirements:
Phd in Social sciences, Social Psychology, Sociology, or any related fields. Experiences with cognitive modeling or user testing are beneficial but not required.
