Job Description
A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the Arizona Cancer Center to pursue translational breast cancer research in circulating tumor cells and cancer stem cells. The research will employ cutting edge molecular biology techniques to perform assays based on clinical specimens. This position offers a wide variety of research activities utilizing molecular biology and cell culture. The majority of the work will involve flow cytometry and gene expression analysis. The postdoctoral fellow will work closely with translational researcher PI Julie E. Lang, MD and be based in her lab. The Lang laboratory is in the Arizona Cancer Center and participates in the Cancer Biology Graduate Interdisciplinary Program. The laboratory is a research program for breast cancer translational research at the Arizona Cancer Center, offering a wide variety of training opportunities. The postdoctoral fellow will collaborate extensively with PI Sherry Chow, Ph.D, who is an experienced breast cancer prevention researcher. The Arizona Cancer Center is one of only 40 NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the USA.
