Postdoctoral Fellowship

There is an opening for a postdoctoral fellow in our research group. I am a Cardiologist and Clinician-Scientist and we are studying the role of various aspects of the heart failure phenotype including signaling pathways, Ca2+ cycling, cardiomyocyte contractility and electrophysiology. Prior experience with cardiac electrophysiology is strongly preferred. We are also studying cells and tissue obtained from explanted failing human hearts obtained at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute. There is also access, through the Cardiovascular Research Centre to core facilities for high resolution echo imaging. The stipend will start at $45,000.00 per year. Successful applicants will have completed their PhD within the last 3 years, and should have a publication list and academic record which is competitive for external fellowship awards.
