A full time postdoctoral position is available to study mechanisms linking aberrant signal transduction and drug resistance in leukemia cells. The laboratory’s focus is on using molecular and cellular approaches to elucidate regulation of proteins implicated in drug resistance in leukemia cells, including ATP-binding cassette proteins, in order to develop novel strategies for reversing drug resistance in clinical trials in leukemia. Interested candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree with relevant experience in molecular biology, molecular pharmacology or a related field. Knowledge of relevant techniques, including flow cytometry, is desirable. Priority will be given to candidates with experience in drug resistance, signal transduction and oncology. The University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center is an NCI-Designated Cancer Center in Baltimore. The laboratory is located in the Bressler Research Building, with state-of-the-art facilities.
