Postdoctoral position: Department of Physiology and Functional Genomics, College of Medicine, University of Florida, in the laboratories of Dr. Colin Sumners and Dr. Mohan K. Raizada. A Postdoctoral Associate position is available immediately, working in the broad area of electrophysiological actions of cytokines and of renin-angiotensin system components (prorenin, angiotensin 1-7) in CNS cardiovascular control centers. Qualifications: Ph.D. and or M.D. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate experience with patch clamp electrophysiological procedures, in particular in brain slices. This person should have the ability to run experiments independently, analyze data and demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. This NIH-funded position is available for a minimum of 2 years, and the position will remain open until filled. Salary will be based on relevant experience according to current NIH pay scales, ranging from $38,496 to $50,832 per year.
