Postdoctoral Fellow – University of Maryland School of Medicine

Applications are invited to apply for a full-time junior postdoctoral fellow position that provides a great opportunity to join a thriving, vibrant and friendly research community focused on DNA damage and repair in the Radiation Oncology Research Laboratories at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine. The project is to study the DNA damage response (DDR) in induced pluripotent stem cells (IPSC) and delineating some of the major DDR that underlies the maintenance of genomic integrity of human embryonic (hESC) and determine how closely IPSC prepared by various means recreate the DDR. Applicants should have a PhD in a Biological Sciences subject with relevance to eukaryotic cell and molecular biology and protein biochemistry. Specific experience in growing and maintaining embryonic stem cells is required. Experience in DNA damage and repair assays, flow cytometry, apoptosis assays, protein purification, and immunocytochemistry are recommended.
