Nanjing University is establishing a new,future-orientedSchool of Pharmacy at its Pukou campus in the JiangbeiNew Area,one of China's premier national innovationhubs.Anchored in the University's internationally recognizedstrengths in life sciences,chemistry,and basic medicine,and supported by Jiangsu Province's leading pharmaceuticalecosystem,the school is founded with a clear ambition:to become a world-class center for frontier research andtalent cultivation in pharmacy.

The school is uniquely empowered by two nationalresearch infrastructures:the National Key Laboratoryof Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and the NationalResource Center for Mutant Mice.Together,theyprovide an unparalleled foundation for interdisciplinarycollaboration,fundamental discovery,and efficienttranslational research.

一、学院将重点布局：

1)重大疾病的靶点与原创新分子发现

利用强大的基础研究平台与模式动物资源，深入解析肿瘤、代谢、神经等重大疾病的生物学

机制，发现并验证革命性药物靶点，致力于原创性药物分子（天然药物、化学药物、生物大分子及核酸药物）的智能化发现与合成。

2）智能药物设计与先进递送技术

深度融合人工智能、大数据与先进材料科学，重塑药物研发范式。重点推进基于AI的理性药物设计、高通量虚拟筛选，以及面向核酸药物、细胞治疗等前沿领域的下一代智能化递送系统。

3）临床前评价与转化研究

建设国际标准的一体化临床前研究平台，利用类器官、疾病模型等前沿技术，高效推进候选药物的转化研究与开发，实现与下游产业集群的无缝衔接，形成从科学发现到产业转化的高效闭环。

4）前沿医药技术探索

Strategic Research Pillars:

Target Identification &Novel Molecular DiscoveryWe leverage strengths in basic science,disease biology,and model organisms to elucidate the mechanismsof major diseases—including cancer,metabolic,andneurological disorders—and to identify and validatenew therapeutic targets.The school prioritizes thediscovery and development of original drug modalities,spanning natural products,small molecules,biologics,and nucleic-acid-based therapeutics.

Take overall responsibility for the school'sadministrative management;formulate stra-tegic development plans;define goals anddirections for growth;promote comprehensiveadvancement in teaching,research and disci-pline development;and enhance the school'sacademic influence and core competitivenessboth domestically and internationally.

◎全面负责学院教学、科研、学科建设等方面的工作，推进一流学院、一流学科建设和国际化进程。

Take full responsibility for the school's teach-ing,research and disciplinary development;

advance the building of a world-class schooland world-class disciplines;and promote theschool's internationalization.

制定并实施学院人才队伍建设规划，引进和培养一批高水平的学科带头人、教学科研骨干和优秀青年教师，打造一支结构合理、素质优良的教师队伍。
